Aims and Objectives

To provide a liturgy designed specifically for young children aged 3 years to pre-First Holy Communion, during the Mass.

Using the Children’s Bible the children have prayers, songs and activities based on the Gospel reading of the day, better enabling them to understand the message and participate in the Mass.

Where and When

Each Sunday at 10.00am Mass throughout term time, excluding the first Sunday of the month which is a children’s Mass.

Children register in the church porch before Mass at about 9.45am before going into Mass with their parents. They leave the Mass just before the Gloria and return at the end of their liturgy to join in with Mass at the offertory.

Other Information

At Christmas the children re-enact the Christmas story at the 10.00am Mass before Christmas Day and at Easter they sing the Offertory hymn on Palm Sunday.
